tabs.getZoom()

Gets the current zoom factor for the specified tab.

Syntax

chrome.tabs.getZoom(
  tabId,                     // optional integer
  function(zoomFactor) {...} // function
)

This API is also available as browser.tabs.getZoom() in a version that returns a promise.

Parameters

tabIdOptional
integer. The ID of the tab to get the current zoom factor from. Defaults to the active tab of the current window.
callback
function. Called with the tab's current zoom factor. The function is passed the following arguments:
zoomFactor
number. The tab's current zoom factor, as a number between 0.3 and 3.

Examples

Get the zoom factor for the current tab:

function onGot(zoom) {
  console.log(zoom);
}

chrome.tabs.getZoom(onGot);

Get the zoom factor for the tab whose ID is 2:

function onGot(zoom) {
  console.log(zoom);
}

chrome.tabs.getZoom(2, onGot);
