This feature is well established and works across many devices and browser versions. It’s been available across browsers since ⁨July 2015⁩.

The SVGSymbolElement interface corresponds to the <symbol> element.

Instance properties

This interface also inherits properties from its parent interface, SVGGraphicsElement.

SVGSymbolElement.viewBox Read only: An SVGAnimatedRect corresponding to the viewBox attribute of the given <symbol> element.
SVGSymbolElement.preserveAspectRatio Read only: An SVGAnimatedPreserveAspectRatio corresponding to the preserveAspectRatio attribute of the given <symbol> element.

This interface doesn't implement any specific methods, but inherits methods from its parent interface, SVGGraphicsElement.
