Returns the build identifier of the browser.

Syntax

buildID = navigator.buildID;

buildID is the build identifier of the application as a string. The build ID is in form YYYYMMDDHHMMSS (older versions of Firefox used the form YYYYMMDDHH).

Example

console.log(window.navigator.buildID)
// prints "20180830143136" to the console

Note

Available in Firefox 2 (Gecko 1.8.1) and later. Implemented in bug 345993.

The build identifier started including minutes and seconds in bug 431270 for Firefox 3.6 (Gecko 1.9.2).
