URL: toJSON() method

This feature is well established and works across many devices and browser versions. It’s been available across browsers since July 2015.
Note: This feature is available in Web Workers.
The toJSON()
method of the URL
interface
returns a string containing a serialized version of the URL,
although in practice it seems to have the same effect as
URL.toString()
.

Return value
A string.

url.toJSON(); // should return the URL as a string
