This is an experimental technology
Check the Browser compatibility table carefully before using this in production.

This feature has been removed from the Web standards. Though some browsers may still support it, it is in the process of being dropped. Avoid using it and update existing code if possible; see the compatibility table at the bottom of this page to guide your decision. Be aware that this feature may cease to work at any time.

The passwordName property of the PasswordCredential interface returns a USVString, depicting the name used by the password field, when submitting the current object to a remote endpoint via fetch. This property defaults to 'password', but may be matched to anything your backend service expects.

var passwordName = PasswordCredential.passwordName
PasswordCredential.passwordName = "passcode"

A  USVString representing the password field name, used when submitting the current object to a remote endpoint via fetch.
