MediaStreamTrackGenerator: writable property

Experimental: This is an experimental technology
Check the Browser compatibility table carefully before using this in production.

Non-standard: This feature is non-standard and is not on a standards track. Do not use it on production sites facing the Web: it will not work for every user. There may also be large incompatibilities between implementations and the behavior may change in the future.

The writable property of the MediaStreamTrackGenerator interface returns a WritableStream. This allows the writing of media frames to the MediaStreamTrackGenerator. The frames will be audio or video. The type is dictated by the kind of MediaStreamTrackGenerator that was created.

In the following example video frames are transformed then written to the WritableStream accessed with MediaStreamTrackGenerator.writable.

const trackProcessor = new MediaStreamTrackProcessor({ track: videoTrack });
const trackGenerator = new MediaStreamTrackGenerator({ kind: "video" });
