More About This Demo From The Author

Explore how different melodies, scales, and intervals are visually represented in a number of different alternative music notation systems. The interactive on-screen keyboard lets you play and hear your own melodies, or you can select one of six preloaded melodies. The playback feature lets you sit back and listen to the notes as you watch them appear on the staff. The alternative notation system that is initially shown is chosen at random, but you can change it using the controls located above the staff. (It would make better sense to do the graphics with canvas or svg, but this project was begun back when IE8 support was needed.)

I'd like to see microtonal notation incorporated into this :D A lovely thing to play with!
