The MediaStream interface of the WebRTC API describes a stream of audio or video data, the methods for working with the MediaStream objects, the constraint members that describe the type of data, the success and error callbacks that communicate the data asynchronously, and the events that fire on the MediaStream objects in process.

Basic concepts

A MediaStream object need not be of any particular or cannonical type. Typically it is set as a simple URL string which can be used to reference data stroed in a DOM File or Blob object with window.URL.createObjectURL(), as described in Get the video.
