Used to indicate whether the text of the element can be selected. This doesn't have any effect on content loaded as chrome, except in textboxes. A similar property 'user-select' has been proposed for CSS3.

  • none: The text of the element and sub-elements cannot be selected.
  • text: The text can be selected by the user. use the same layout as the other CSS reference pages
  • -moz-none: The text of the element and sub-elements cannot be selected, but selection can be enabled on sub-elements using -moz-user-select: text
