Summary

outline-color is used to set the color of the outline of an element. An outline is a line that is drawn around elements, outside the border edge, to make the element stand out:

  • {{ Xref_cssinitial() }}: {{ Cssxref("invert") }} {{ unimplemented_inline() }}
    In Gecko (Firefox): The value of the color property
  • Applies to: all elements
  • {{ Xref_cssinherited() }}: no
  • Media: {{ Xref_cssvisual() }}
  • {{ Xref_csscomputed() }}:

In browsers previous to Gecko 1.8 (Firefox 1.5) web developers could achieve the same effect with the Mozilla CSS Extension {{ Cssxref("-moz-outline-color") }}.
