    This API is available on Firefox OS for certified applications only.

    Summary

    The DOM MozSmsEvent represents events related to WebSMS text messages.

    Properties

    MozSmsEvent.message Read only
    An MozSmsMessage from which the event originated.

    MozSmsEvent also inherite properties from Event

    event.bubbles
    A boolean indicating whether the event bubbles up through the DOM or not.
    event.cancelBubble
    A boolean indicating whether the bubbling of the event has been canceled or not.
    event.cancelable
    A boolean indicating whether the event is cancelable.
    event.currentTarget
    A reference to the currently registered target for the event.
    event.defaultPrevented
    Indicates whether or not event.preventDefault() has been called on the event.
    event.eventPhase
    Indicates which phase of the event flow is being processed.
    event.explicitOriginalTarget
    The explicit original target of the event (Mozilla-specific).
    event.originalTarget
    The original target of the event, before any retargetings (Mozilla-specific).
    event.target
    A reference to the target to which the event was originally dispatched.
    event.timeStamp
    The time that the event was created.
    event.type
    The name of the event (case-insensitive).
    event.isTrusted
    Indicates whether or not the event was initiated by the browser (after a user click for instance) or by a script (using an event creation method, like event.initEvent)

    Methods

    MozSmsEvent inherite methods from Event

    event.initEvent
    Initializes the value of an Event created through the DocumentEvent interface.
    event.preventBubble Obsolete since Gecko 24
    Prevents the event from bubbling. Obsolete, use event.stopPropagation instead.
    event.preventCapture Obsolete since Gecko 24
    Obsolete, use event.stopPropagation instead.
    event.preventDefault
    Cancels the event (if it is cancelable).
    event.stopImmediatePropagation
    For this particular event, no other listener will be called. Neither those attached on the same element, nor those attached on elements which will be traversed later (in capture phase, for instance)
    event.stopPropagation
    Stops the propagation of events further along in the DOM.

    Events

    The MozSmsEvent is used for the following events:

    deliverysuccess
    Fired whenever an SMS is delivered to a recipient.
    received
    Fired whenever an SMS is received.
    sent
    Fired whenever an SMS is sent.

    Specifications

    This is a non standard implementation, but it is discussed at W3C as part of the System Application Working Group.

    Browser compatibility

    For obvious reasons, support is primarily expected on mobile browsers.
