Navigator.appCodeName

Summary

Returns the internal "code" name of the current browser.

Syntax

codeName = window.navigator.appCodeName 
  • codeName is the internal name of the browser as a string.

Example

console.log(window.navigator.appCodeName);

Notes

Mozilla, Netscape 6, and IE5 all use the internal name "Mozilla."
