This feature is not on a current W3C standards track, but it is supported on the Firefox OS platform. Although implementations may change in the future and it is not supported widely across browsers, it is suitable for use in code dedicated to Firefox OS apps.
send method is used to send an SMS message to one or more receivers.
var request = navigator.mozMobileMessage.send(receivers, message);
- This parameter can be a string (representing the phone number of the receiver) or an
Arrayof string to have the message sent to more than one receiver.
- A string representing the message to send.

DOMRequest object to handle the
error of the operation.

This is a non-standard implementation, but it is discussed at W3C as part of the System Application Working Group.
