    ContactManager.save()

    This article is in need of a technical review.

    Non-standard
    This feature is not on a current W3C standards track, but it is supported on the Firefox OS platform. Although implementations may change in the future and it is not supported widely across browsers, it is suitable for use in code dedicated to Firefox OS apps.

    This API is available on Firefox OS for privileged or certified applications only.

    Summary

    The save method is used to store a contact inside the device's contact database. If the contact is already in the database (based on its id), it is updated, otherwise it is created.

    Syntax

    var instanceOfDomRequest = window.navigator.mozContacts.save(contact);

    Parameters

    contact
    A mozContact object representing the contact to add or update.

    Return value

    A DOMRequest object to handle the success or error of the operation. In case of success the request's onsuccess handler is called, with a null result.
