I'm not sure why you decided to do that mass move, especially as it was planned to move the JS reference pages to use another naming scheme (with shorter names), and the pages also need to be put into categories. Anyways, please remember to fix the double redirects the moves might have caused. --Nickolay 04:57, 9 September 2005 (PDT)

Oh never knew that :p Well, I have time to waste. The moving also helps me keep track of which pages I haven't editted yet. --Maian 05:00, 9 September 2005 (PDT)
I don't think you have to fix all of the links - only the ones that became double-redirects because of your move. I don't think there are many such pages, maybe none.
At this moment, you're replacing "JS Core Ref:Objects:" links to "JS Core Ref:Global Objects", when their final name will probably be something like "JS:Global Objects:". This means someone will have to go through all the pages and edit the links *again*. Not very effecient.
You should really contact dria and/or post to the mailing list so that we can figure out the final naming of the pages, so that you can change the links to the final variant. --Nickolay 05:02, 13 September 2005 (PDT)
What mailing list? I only know of the irc channel. --Maian 01:44, 14 September 2005 (PDT)

    Language

Maian, if it all possible can you make sure you have a utf-8 capable browser, and editor; possibly installing a bit more fonts on your system, there have been alot of pages you edited in the JS Reference/Guide that have had their language links broken because of you. I only speak english, but breaking language links is well, bad... ;-) --Callek 22:38, 19 September 2005 (PDT)

That's odd... I'm using Firefox with character encoding set to UTF-8. I can also see all the non-English symbols, e.g. "ę". --Maian 22:40, 19 September 2005 (PDT)
Well one way to help "save" yourself would be to verify your own diff's in Special:RecentChanges before you are done for a night. It has saved me before (and forgetting to do so, has caused me to leave bad changes before too.) I'm cleaning up a slew of "RecentChanges" that I fell behind on now, I'll catch up to the "present" sooner or later... --Callek 23:12, 19 September 2005 (PDT)
Found out what was causing it. I occasionally copy the text to UltraEdit to use its "replace all" function, and for whatever reason it doesn't default to UTF-8, so pasting "ę" pastes "?" instead. --Maian 23:29, 19 September 2005 (PDT)

Differences between Gecko and IE DOM implementation

Is there an appropriate place in devmo for such notes? I have an example concerning the focus method. Apparently, IE refuses to set the focus on an undisplayed element, e.g. an element with style.display = "none", plus it raises an error. Should the focus article contain such valuable information for a developper but not directly related to Gecko engine? — MyttO ? 07:29, 24 November 2005 (PST)
