Revision Content

Hello.

Excuse me if I bother you. I have just finished translating and formatting a long article of mine about Understanding CSS z-index. I am aware that my english is far from being perfect, so I think the article needs to be fully reviewed and corrected. Should I post such a request on the mailing-list or should I refer to someone in particular? Thanks in advance. Lombardp 03:15, 25 Jul 2005 (PDT)

Sorry for wiki table on Main page. I was thinking that will be better. Thanks for reverting :). --Sasa Stefanovic 18:09, 2 September 2005 (PDT)
No trouble. Most of our users are just used to html more than wiki markup, so it's just easier in the long-run. Thanks for helping out :) -- dria 18:17, 2 September 2005 (PDT)

Extremely belated pong regarding Talk:Creating XPCOM Components...I've been busy off and on with various things, working through CXC as I have time (which, admittedly, has become less now that I'm back in classes, but it's still not too bad). I'm doing pretty well overall, and I don't really think I need much help with anything. If anyone feels like going back through the images and regenerating them in 32-bit color (with alpha channel where appropriate), however, I'm definitely open to that. The original images were in GIF format, limiting them to 256 colors and binary transparency. The 256-color problem affects screenshots to varying degrees, while the binary transparency problem is really only a problem because the images with transparency are defined such that **all** areas set to white are assumed to be transparent (e.g., a white circle with a black border on a transparent palette would actually be a black circle on a transparent palette, with white assumed to "bleed through" into the center). There are also a good number of figures and diagrams of inheritance and related topics which could stand to be regenerated, as the text in the originals has become rather blurred and unclear. Aside from that, tho, the text conversion's going well, I'm correcting errors as I find them (primarily typos and such but also the published {{mediawiki.external('and less-published')}} errata too, more or less, although I haven't done a final review of what's posted yet), and I think I'll probably have the rest done within the next couple weeks. --Waldo 23:59, 19 September 2005 (PDT)

  • That's great Waldo. I'll see if I can sort out getting the graphics regenerated by someone. Thanks for the update. -- dria 04:27, 20 September 2005 (PDT)

Hi Dria

Looks like the migration of XBL:XBL_1.0_Reference is finished now. Oh, and, do we really need the References section? -- Andreas Wuest 14:27, November 13, 2005 (PST)

That's great Andreas, thanks very much for the help. I'll look at sorting out the categorization and such this week. -- dria 14:38, 13 November 2005 (PST)

Hey Dria, I have seen you in #MediaWiki. I was hoping to chat with you about the licensing for the Devmo skin. I was already able to download it (from CVS), install it, and tweak it. Now I have to figure out what I need to do so everyone is happy :) Is there an original author I should contact? Let me know either in #mediawiki or via email. Thanks in advance, PhilHarnish 00:41, 11 January 2006 (PST)

Callek's Talk Page

Dria, just a poke to Nickolay's comments to me on my Talk page post, if you agree with him feel free to revert that change I made. --Callek 21:03, 22 January 2006 (PST)

Building an Extension Image repost

Hi Dria,

I reposted the images in PNG format and resized them to 75%. I do not know if it was "OK" to just repost it to the main article, was it? Anyway feel free to slap me a bit if it was not.

Take a look here: Building an Extension (Test)
