Plug-in Side Plug-in API

This is currently undocumented but appears to be a UNIX-specific API.  Would be nice to have some docs on it.

There should be a page for NP_GetMIMEDescription or NPP_GetMIMEDescription. Those are Unix-specific API functions to register media types that are handled by the plugin. I prefer the NPP_ prefix for consistency, but the NP_ prefix is used in this document. --Kaz 22:36, 1 February 2007 (PST)

This one is still definitely called under Windows and Firefox but *before* NP_Initialize (which may be confusing to those writing the code expecting NP_Initialize to be the first call into the plugin) and in some locations NP_Initialize still has a void parameter list.
