Revision Content

This method appears to return a list of all the descendant nodes (not just the child nodes) with the specified tag name. This matches the DOM 2 specification. I think summary and notes should be updated to accurately describe this behaviour.

Jo-W's change

Is there a specific reason for the change today by User:Jo-W? It looks like just a style thing that actually makes the code less clear, to me.--Sheppy 14:01, 18 December 2006 (PST)

I can't see a specific reason. It's really just style. I, for one, would revert it. --Andreas Wuest 17:25, 18 December 2006 (PST)
Didn't see this until I already reverted the change :) It's indeed a style thing. --Nickolay 01:04, 19 December 2006 (PST)

The documentation is wrong, element.getElementsByTagName ignores the element and fetches all tagnames in the entire document.. well actually.. the documentation is right.. firefox behaviour is wrong..
