How to help

MDN is a wiki. The MDN contributor community continually adds, expands and corrects the content on the MDN website. You can help!

Quick and easy tasks

Fix typos

Simply create an account and fix errors as you see them. You don't need to be a programmer or a technical writer. There is a simple graphical interface for editing pages. Jump right in! Helpful reference pages:

Tag pages

Tags are displayed at the bottom of every documentation page. Every page in MDN should have a tag that indicates the general topic of the page. Pages that need work should also be tagged, as should pages that are deprecated and obsolete. Helpful reference page:

Log documentation bugs

Rather than merely adding a tag, you can report more complex problems by filing a documentation bug. Use these field values:

product
Mozilla Developer Network
component
Documentation requests
URL
The page where you found the problem
Description
As much as you know or have time to describe about the problem and where to find correct information. This can include people ("talk to so-and-so") as well as Web links.

Technical tasks

Fix tagged pages

Fix Bugzilla bugs
