The smileIApplication interface is used for managing and accessing the applications systems. smileIApplication is defined in http://mxr.mozilla.org/comm-central/source/suite/smile/public/smileIApplication.idl.

Implemented via XPCOM service for extIApplication: see the instructions on the FUEL (Firefox), STEEL (Thunderbird) and SMILE (SeaMonkey) pages.
