TelephonyCall.number Redirect 1

« DOM Reference

Non-standard
This feature is non-standard and is not on a standards track. Do not use it on production sites facing the Web: it will not work for every user. There may also be large incompatibilities between implementations and the behavior may change in the future.

This API is available on Firefox OS for certified applications only.

Summary

The telephone number associated with a phone call. Read only.

Syntax

var phoneNum = window.navigator.mozTelephony.number;

Value

A String indicating the number associated with the call. This can be either the number dialed for an outgoing call, or the phone number reported by caller ID for an incoming call.

Note: The returned value is probably "" for calls from people with caller ID blocked. This is just a guess! Please update this when we know for sure.

Specifications

This is a non standard implementation, but it is discussed at W3C as part of the System Application Working Group.
