Telephony.speakerEnabled Redirect 1

« DOM Reference

This feature is non-standard and is not on a standards track. Do not use it on production sites facing the Web: it will not work for every user. There may also be large incompatibilities between implementations and the behavior may change in the future.

This API is available on Firefox OS for certified applications only.

Indicates whether or not the speakerphone functionality of the phone is enabled.

var speakerEnabled = window.navigator.mozTelephony.speakerEnabled;   // Is the speaker enabled?
window.navigator.mozTelephony.speakerEnabled = true;                 // Turn on the speaker

true indicates the speaker is enabled; false indicates that it is not. You may read and write this value.

This is a non standard implementation, but it is discussing at W3C as part of the System Application Working Group.
