Node.isSameNode Redirect 1

« DOM Reference

This feature is obsolete. Although it may still work in some browsers, its use is discouraged since it could be removed at any time. Try to avoid using it.

Tests whether two nodes are the same, that is they reference the same object.

Warning: This method has been deprecated in DOM level 4 and is no longer implemented in recent browsers, including Gecko 10.0 (Firefox 10.0 / Thunderbird 10.0 / SeaMonkey 2.7).

// Instead of using

// use
node1 === node2 // or
node1 == node2

var isSameNode = node.isSameNode(other);
  • other The node to test against.
