    CameraControl.onShutter Redirect 1

    « DOM Reference

    Non-standard
    This feature is non-standard and is not on a standards track. Do not use it on production sites facing the Web: it will not work for every user. There may also be large incompatibilities between implementations and the behavior may change in the future.

    This API is available on Firefox OS for certified applications only.

    Summary

    The onShutter property is used to set an event handler for the camera's "shutter" event, to trigger a shutter sound and/or a visual shutter indicator.

    Syntax

    instanceOfCameraControl.onShutter = funcRef;

    Where funcRef is a function to be called when the camera shutter is down.

    Example

    var options = {
      camera: navigator.mozCameras.getListOfCameras()[0]
    };

    function onSuccess( camera ) {
      camera.onShutter = function () {
        console.log("The camera is now turned off.");
      }
    };

    navigator.mozCameras.getCamera(options, onSuccess)

    Specification

    Not part of any specification; however, this API should be removed when the WebRTC Capture and Stream API has been implemented.
