Metakaolin (Multitouch improvements)
Draw on maps anywhere — laptop, iOS or Android!
More About This Demo From The Author
Metakaolin is a mouse-and-multitouch compatible feature editor, built on top of an offline capable map and database.
Its interface provides a novel non-modal editing paradigm: just draw whatever kind of shape you like — double tap–drag to extend a point into a line — and it will be converted to the proper GeoJSON geometry.
Once you learn a few basic tricks, it becomes an incredibly natural and enjoyable way to edit vector shapes! (Of course, since it's multitouch, on mobile devices you can even adjust the position of several nodes simultaneously.)
This demo has some improvements since the December "Offline" Dev Derby: there's now a subtle visual affordance for node connection removal, and links to a full tutorial video (https://vimeo.com/60812792) are now provided.
