Talk:Tips for Authoring Fast-loading HTML Pages

From MDC

I am really unhappy with the section Example page structure (compare with the original).

The original uses a salad of nested unordered lists, but I do not think that it makes sense semantically. A <pre> section rises ugly problems with word wrap. And finally, some points (like the explanations under SCRIPT would make more sense as (un)ordered lists, being in fact a list of points to watch for that particular section of the page structure.

Any ideas how to turn this into something prettier?

The section Tips could have been an ordered list as well. I decided to use sub-sections, since from my point of view they are more to the point. Besides, this solved some formatting problems I would have had with an ordered list (<pre>, paragraphs, etc.)
