I can't understand the exact meaning of the sentence:

«Note that doing so will create a closure keeping all the objects pointed to from local variables in the same scope, so you'll have to be careful to not introduce memory leaks.»

Could someone, with knowledge in the subject, enhance the article with an realistic example? And/or add a little further explanation?
