Talk:Core JavaScript 1.5 Reference:Global Functions
From MDC
Before expanding Array, Boolean, Error, Function, Object, and RegExp, I would like to change the wording of some of the summaries on this page and the objects' respective pages. Several summaries state "Converts a value to a type." This is misleading, because the functions do not modify the given argument, but merely return a value of that type.
While I think that the summaries on this page shouldn't be required to be as formal as the summaries in the articles of each object, I think I'll correct this. Hopefully I can do this without excessive wording. Sevenspade 10:16, 9 August 2006 (PDT)
- Hmm, nevermind. I guess the wording is vague enough to argue that the previously described implication doesn't really exist. Sevenspade 10:53, 9 August 2006 (PDT)
