wiki text formatting error

I've stumbled on a small imperfection in this article's text formatting. There was a code snippet which was supposed to have a bold layout in a sentence but, because of the <pre> tags, the html text was presented literally and not interpreted. For more information, check my page edit. --RuiMaciel 04:40, 8 September 2005 (PDT)

If you indent lines that are supposed to be formatted as code instead of wrapping them in pre tags, the wiki formatting should work. For example:
This line is wrapped in '''pre''' tags and ''doesn't work''.
These lines are indented by at least one space
   And work properly.

Thanks, dria. I used that technique to restore the formatting so it looks the way it did originally.

How long until someone "fixes" indented lines so that they ignore tags too, I wonder...
