Firefox 3 developer dates to remember
At Tuesday’s Firefox 3 / Gecko 1.9 meeting, we agreed to the following development dates as targets for Firefox 3 Beta 4:
- Feb 21st, 11:59pm PST - Beta 4 String Freeze
- Feb 25th, 8:00pm PST -Beta 4 l10n Code Freeze
- Feb 26th, 11:59pm PST -Beta 4 Code Freeze
To meet the requirements for final Beta 4 Code Freeze, all P1 blocking bugs must be resolved. The l10n dates have been set to allow our localization communities time to work over the weekend; those attending FOSDEM can meet us in the Mozilla DevRoom to take part in the effort!
We’ll be monitoring the blocking bug status at daily triage meetings. Feel free to join us at the following times:
- Firefox 3 Blocker Triage: 8:00am PST / 11:00am EST / 16:00 UTC
- Gecko 1.9 Blocker Triage: 5:00pm PST / 5:00pm EST / 22:00 UTC

We’ll update Mozilla Developer News early next week based on our progress. If all goes well, the plan is to bake the tree for 2 - 3 days after freeze, and then hand off to Build and QA.
