1.5rc1 Update

The last checkin for known issues in 1.5rc1 completed tonight at around 7PM PDT. Work will now begin on final testing, certification, packaging, and completion of l10n builds. This should take approximately 4 days - putting the 1.5rc1 release date at Tuesday, Nov 1.

1.5rc1 Lockdown in 3 Days!

Reminder that this Sunday at 11:59 PDT is the code lockdown for 1.5rc1. We are almost there - just 12 bugs left on the blocker list and most of them have patches under review.

Extension Versioning in Firefox and Thunderbird 1.5

Now that Firefox and Thunderbird 1.5 beta 2 have been released, extension authors should begin checking their extensions for compatibility, and update the extension maxVersion number appropriately for the 1.5 final release.

Firefox/Thunderbird 1.5rc1 and Gecko 1.8rc1 are quickly approaching

The Release Candidate should contain no known bugs that would prevent it from being released as the 1.5 final. This means we truly need to resolve all blocker bugs before the release candidate or defer those bugs into a release post 1.5 final.
