Schedule for Gecko 1.8b4 / Firefox 1.5 Beta (Deer Park)
We are working to release Gecko 1.8b4 and Firefox 1.5 Beta soon. As usual, once we’ve cleared the bug list, the plan is to distribute a release candidate for community feedback prior to the actual release. Definitive dates and timing of the lockdown, release candidate and final release will be posted shortly. However, we plan to be essentially done with work for these releases and the tree locked down as soon as possible.
Thus, starting today, branch drivers intend to become even more restrictive in granting branch approval requests. Approvals will likely only be granted to bugs already flagged as blocking1.8b4+ or for significant regressions.
To nominate a bug for consideration as blocking these beta releases, please set the blocking1.8b4 flag to ?.
Please note that in this stage of product development we will not be accepting any feature or string changes which are not already on the 1.8b4 blocking list.
